Designing an agriculture application — an AI-powered super-app for farmers, backed by Keshavarzi Bank of Iran.
A chat-centric super-app for farmers: market information, weather alerts, access to agriculture experts, and commerce — with AI running through all of it.
Consultation chatbots for crop and livestock farmers, AI-powered search for buying and selling products, and custom AI assistants that large agribusinesses can configure for themselves — all answering from documents approved by Keshavarzi Bank.
Agrino has to make AI consultation, commerce, and expert access usable by farmers across a wide range of digital literacy — and every answer has to trace back to sources Keshavarzi Bank has approved. The design challenge is making something genuinely powerful feel plain-spoken and trustworthy.
Banking, the market, expert advice and businesses sit on one home, with quick access, offers, news and support below. The same home carries over to the web, where a side rail takes the place of the tab bar.
Buying and selling run as a conversation. The bot asks one question at a time and offers likely answers as chips, so a farmer can post an ad without filling in a form. It ends on a summary to confirm or correct, and the ad can be managed afterwards. Prices work the same way: today's prices across crops, one crop's average and range, and an alert when it crosses a level, all from the same chat.
Large agribusinesses get a space of their own. A farmer picks a business, follows its channel, and sends requests — contracts, inputs, invoices, a specialist's advice — through its farmers' office, where each one keeps a visible status.
The design system and core flows are delivered, and I now advise the team ahead of a 2027 launch. This case study will be revisited with outcomes once Agrino is live.
